Johnson Controls Automotive Group Begins Largest Deployment of Lean Operations Software; Factory Logic Solution Extends and Enhances Company's Lean Manufacturing Methodology

Enterprise software for lean environments is different than the classic MRP or ERP systems. Many companies use “software” for their lean planning, in the form of custom Excel spreadsheets. My former employer is continuing to work on software to support the planning and execution tasks in a lean environment. It's not a total lean solution (culture, continuous improvement, and leadership are still critically important), but it can provide helpful tools for planners and the shopfloor.
