Lean Healthcare Overview Video from Americans in Sweden

As I'm currently in Sweden, I was reminded of this video I found recently featuring John Black, a lean healthcare consultant and author who previously worked with Boeing and Gary Larson, a Vice President from Park Nicollet in Minneapolis (a member of the Healthcare Value Leaders Network).

The video was shot as they visited Jönköping county in Sweden, an area whose healthcare improvement efforts were featured in the excellent book The Best Practice: How the New Quality Movement is Transforming Medicine. In the video, Black and Larson give a good overview of Lean as applied to healthcare and hospitals.   They also share their perceptions of their visit to Jönköping.

I will try to post some of my observations here after my week's visit to Stockholm and surrounding areas is through.
