Tune in TONIGHT, Friday August 21, 10 PM on Fox News Channel. See my blog post about the links to online video at FoxNews.com.

The “On the Record” show with Greta Van Susteren visited Appleton, Wisconsin and ThedaCare, one of the leaders in applying the Lean methodology to improve healthcare quality, cost, and patient care. They are promoting it this morning as the main news story of the night:

CEO Emeritus John Toussaint, CEO Dean Gruner, and many of their leaders, staff, and patients will be featured in the segment, recorded today during their visit.

The story that Fox News wants to tell is that of a healthcare system that is successfully reforming the delivery of healthcare by eliminating errors and taking waste out of the system, making healthcare more affordable for more people.

I will try to post video here the blog Saturday morning.

Let's hope this is nothing but positive exposure for what can be done throughout the rest of healthcare… ThedaCare has a great story. There's a lot to emulate and hopefully this helps spur others down the Lean path.
