For this “Throwback Thursday” post, I'd like to highlight a podcast that I did in 2013 with my friends Karen Skinner and David Skinner. They are a very fun, interesting couple, they live in Montreal, and my wife and I have had a chance to hang out with them a couple times up there.
Karen and David are both attorneys and they, perhaps surprisingly, have really gotten into Lean and Six Sigma. They've been doing a lot of training and coaching for law firms in Canada and the United States. You can learn more about them via their website.
Here is the podcast I did with them in 2013:
Next Tuesday (rescheduled to 5/17), they are doing a webinar that we're hosting at KaiNexus:
Creating a Lean Foundation for Innovation in Professional Services Firms
They are going to talk about Lean not just for law firms but for other professional settings. At KaiNexus, for example, we have customers in architecture firms and product development organizations.
We hope the webinar has wide appeal, even if you work in healthcare or manufacturing.
In this webinar, you will learn:
- Trends in service delivery innovation for professional service firms
- How Lean can support critical innovations in pricing, project management, and knowledge management
- How a culture of continuous improvement can support innovation
- Where to start and how to avoid typical pitfalls
