Newsweek: International Editions – MSNBC.com

Last week, I asked about Toyota's CEO Fujio Cho — is he not a “business superstar” ala Jack Welch and other “cover boy” CEO's? This week's Newsweek international edition features Toyota on the cover, and what takes center stage? A vehicle (the hot Prius hybrid), not an executive!.

The article, among other things, discusses leaked reports of two additional U.S. plants after the San Antonio truck plant and how Toyota is using its cash to outinvest GM by $3.5 Billion a year. Toyota's profits lead to fresher products, which will lead to yet bigger profits (Toyota's 2005 profits should be 24x those of GM).
