Reminder: Tomorrow, KaiNexus and I will be hosting a webinar presented by John Toussaint, MD and Paul Pejsa of Catalysis. The title is “When Leaders Collaborate: Finding the A-Ha Moments that Lead to Lean Transformation.” Registration is free and we hope you'll join us.

This blog post and podcast gives a preview of their webinar:

Today is a day known as “Giving Tuesday,” to follow up the commercially-driven “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday” days. It's a great day to give to any cause or organization that's meaningful to you.

One organization that I choose to give to throughout the year is the Louise H. Batz Patient Safety Foundation.

The Batz Foundation produces practical and helpful guidebooks and apps to help protect patients during their hospital stay or other healthcare encounters.

You can download the guidebook and iPad app for free. Please consider donating to the Foundation if you'd like to further their cause and efforts.

Batz Foundation founder and CEO Laura Batz did this webinar for KaiNexus earlier this year. In the webinar, she told her mom's story and talked about the work of the Foundation, along with two healthcare professionals who have collaborated with her:

Practicing Lean book by Mark GrabanAs you might know, all proceeds from the Practicing Lean anthology book that I edited are being donated to the Batz Foundation, over $3000 so far.

Click here to learn more about the book, to buy an eBook or audio book through LeanPub.com, or to buy the Paperback or Kindle edition through Amazon.

If you've read the book, one other way you can help is by writing a review on Amazon.

What causes do you support, within healthcare or otherwise?
