    Going back a ways, here is a good “Pit Crew Kaizen” article from the Gemba Pantarei Blog.

    Although the first articles don't mention lean, there are good examples and lessons about standard work, practicing, and teamwork — not just going faster, but preventing errors (the most important goal for hospitals).
