Great interview! Norman sent me a copy of his latest book a while back. I am about half the way through it thus far. It is chock full of what he calls “quick and easy kaizen” and what others call, including myself, “daily kaizen.” Awesome stuff and it’s the way, the only way to move an organization from system-driven kaizen (mostly events as pulled by value stream improvement plans and the like…in itself a great thing, but not complete) to principal-driven kaizen (system kaizen, plus daily kaizen). Principal-driven kaizen truly engages the hearts, minds and hands of the organization and transforms the culture. It’s the goal.
