Is "Genchi" Taken?

If you follow the blogs, you know Gemba Research (consulting, publications, and the excellent “Gemba Panta Rei” blog.

I saw a press release today for a a firm called “Genbutsu” (also located in Washington state, no less).

Is someone else going to start a firm called “Genchi”? I like that… it means “Go” right? Genchi Genbutsu means “go and see” and is something that Toyota references often.

Hopefully, when the Genchi consultants would show up, the client employees are saying “Go!” as in “go do great lean work with us” as opposed to “go away!” :-)
