Upcoming Web Radio Show and Webinar

I wanted to let you know about an upcoming web radio show (tomorrow) and webinar (next week) that I'll be participating in.

Results-Only Radio

Tuesday 3/13 at 1 pm EDT, I'll a guest on the show  Results-Only Radio: ROWE, Lean, and Six Sigma. This is hosted by  Cali Ressler, co-founder of CultureRx, one of the creators of the “ROWE” methodology (“Results Only Work Environment”). This came as a follow up to some discussion about ROWE and Lean on the My Flexible Pencil blog. I think it will be an interesting discussion.

Gemba Academy Webinar

I'll be conducting a free webinar through my friends at Gemba Academy on 3/21 at 2 pm EDT on  “Using SPC to Make Better Management Decisions.” This is material based on the lessons from one of my favorite books, Understanding Variation: The Key to Managing Chaos  by Dr. Donald Wheeler and my experience with using these concepts in different industries.

From the webinar summary:

In this webinar, Mark Graban, author of Lean Hospitals, will show how simple statistical process control (SPC) methods can be used by managers and leaders to make better decisions about their businesses.

Using examples from manufacturing, healthcare, and services industries, Mark will illustrate the basic SPC rules and will show you how to create and interpret a control chart, allowing you to spot statistically valid trends and avoid overreacting to common cause variation in your performance measures.

Please join us for a lively discussion and interactive Q&A!
