“Lean Hospitals” Now Available on Kindle

As Amazon's Kindle has gotten more popular, I've gotten a lot of questions about when my book, Lean Hospitals: Improving Quality, Patient Safety, and Employee Satisfaction, would be available on Kindle.

I'm happy to say that, as of last week, it's now available in the Kindle format. You can read it on a Kindle e-book reader (which I have and really enjoy), or via a number of devices you might already have: PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, or BlackBerry.

I know the price is high for a Kindle book ($35.96) compared to the $9.99 or $12.99 best sellers. I don't have any control over that and I don't understand how the Kindle pricing works between Amazon and the publisher (in this case, Productivity Press). It is about $5 cheaper than the regular print version, at least. It's not an inexpensive book, I realize. Also, not my decision. I'll quit sounding defensive now.

The other question I get is about an audio book version — no progress on that, unfortunately.
