Misinterpreting Deming: The Misuse of ‘Survival is not Mandatory’ in Lean Practice

One of the more popular email signature quotes that I see (at least amongst Lean practitioners) is this priceless gem from Dr. W. Edwards Deming: “It is not necessary to change.
