This Video Shows Why We Work to Reduce Waste in Nursing Care

This isn't a new J&J commercial, but I saw it again today… when we work with nurses and other inpatient staff with Lean, the process improvement and waste reduction that frees up time often goes to moments like this:

Instead of running around looking for supplies, equipment, information, and other people, a Lean hospital frees up time for better patient care and more caring patient care.

This is just one reason why Lean healthcare is so important. We need to help nurses maximize the time they spend nursing, rather than being hoop jumpers and fire fighters. Thanks to Johnson & Johnson (my former employer) for this touching ad).
