Blog reader Bill wrote and asked:

I was reading your blog and was wondering if you can tell where I can find short NASCAR videos related to process improvement, 5S, visual factory, etc.

I don't know off hand. I think I've heard of a NASCAR video, but don't have a copy and couldn't find a reference to it in a quick Google search. If you know if a video like this, please email me or post a comment here.

Here are some earlier posts of mine about NASCAR and lean.

  1. Ford used NASCAR tapes for FPS and also one that featured Jack Roush and his racing team working on caars and engines. I am not sure if they are available other than from old FPS’ers.

  2. I saw a consultant a couple years ago who had footage from Hendrick Motorsports (Jeff Gordan’s team), and the story was outstanding. But the consultant had exclusive rights to the video, so I’m guessing it’s not commercially available.
