He captured two insights that jumped right out at me: 1)Metrics are there to tell you how the system is performing. That's a lot different from measuring people or departments. 2)The other was looking at eliminating muri - the overload - as freeing up mental space, just as eliminating muda frees up physical space.<BR/><BR/>SME's Mike Anderson deserves high marks too. Although he was not credited as such, he was the guy who pulled the whole issue together, getting contributions of some of the best of the best.
