Thanks to my good friend Dean Bliss of the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative. You might recognize Dean as a frequent commenter here on the blog or you've heard my podcast with him (when he was with the Iowa Health System).

Here is a link to a 20-minute webinar that serves as a good introduction for those of you who are new to Lean or new to healthcare.

In the short overview, Dean covers a brief history of Lean, the types of waste, and some basic Lean methods. He also touches on Lean culture and the need to have everybody involved in improvement.

Also see Dean's webinar on  Rapid Cycle Improvement.
