Reviewing Bob Emiliani’s Creative Ads for His Lean Books

For those who only read my blog via RSS, I wanted to point out the fun, frequently rotating ads in the right-hand column from noted  Lean author Bob Emiliani.  Check out his website at www.BobEmiliani.com for lots of articles and information on his research and work.

The ads are very clever and actually pioneering within the Lean community in that they are broadly consistent with Lean practices. The ads change once a week (cycle-time = 168 hours), resulting in a smooth flow of new ads level-loaded throughout the year. And most of the ads have the same standardized format.

Bob’s books are well worth reading because they will surely improve your understanding of Lean. The books are written by an ex-manager for managers. They are specific and actionable – which will surely help you in your efforts to practice Lean.

What do you think of the ads? Have you noticed them? What do you think of Bob’s books?

  1. I’m not sure if I noticed Bob’s ads, but I probably glanced at them.

Bob is one of my most admired lean thinkers and doers, and has been since his first book came out. His newsletter is well worth signing up for. He is much more than a lean consultant.

I’d recommend any of his books, but the only one I have read thoroughly is the first. I’ve suggested it often to people who have asked me what to read about lean.
