I was happy to be a last minute guest on Karl Wadensten’s radio show “The Lean Nation” last Thursday. I was on with Karl himself this time — Captain Karl!
You can find the episode page here or click for streaming audio or direct MP3 file download.
I’m working with Karl and the gang to get their shows on Apple iTunes for easier downloads…
From the show synopsis: “Noted blogger of “Lean Hospitals” and senior fellow with the Lean Enterprise Institute, Mark Graban is the guest, and surprise surprise, the topic de jour is Lean Health Care. See what Mark has to say, and why he calls Lean the “No trade-offs system”…”
I called Lean the “no trade-offs system” because you can truly improve quality, cost, and access (waiting time) all at the same time, while traditional management methods lead to tradeoffs between cost and quality, for example. Hope you enjoy the show.
