Wanna be a winner? Think you’re pretty good? The deadline for ASSEMBLY‚Äôs 6th annual Assembly Plant of the Year award is just a few weeks away (April 30). If any of you should be considered for this award, please submit an entry as soon as possible.

The goal of the award is to identify and showcase a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the United States that has applied world-class processes to reduce production costs, increase productivity, shorten time to market, or improve product quality.
The previous five recipients of the award were IBM Corp., Poughkeepsie, NY (2008); Square D/Schneider Electric, Lexington, KY (2007); Lear Corp., Montgomery, AL (2006); Xerox Corp., Webster, NY (2005); and Kenworth Truck Co., Renton, WA (2004).
The award is open to all manufacturers‚Äîboth large and small‚Äîin all industries. Facilities can use either low-volume manual assembly processes or high-speed automated equipment (or a mix of both). The door is open. Hope you’re up for it.
