WWII Propaganda Posters for Employee Ideas

I love old WWII Posters, particularly the production posters aimed at helping the war effort. As much as Dr. Deming said to not rely on signs, posters, and slogans, I just find these signs interesting.

Here's a set of posters that MUST have come from the Training Within Industry program, calling for employee ideas and suggestions. What are you doing today to help encourage ideas and kaizen in your workplace? I bet you're doing things that are better than just hanging up signs….

  1. If we could indeed get just one suggestion per employee per year, wouldn’t that be great? World class companies get at least one suggestion per employee per month, if not more.

American industry (and healthcare) still really lag behind this benchmark, I’m afraid.
