Mark in an Audio Conference about Lean in Hospital Labs

The Dark Report presents a new audio conference on November 13, 2008…

For those of you in hospital labs (not sure what percentage of my readership falls into that category), you might be interested in the following upcoming audio conference that I'm participating in.

An excerpt from the description:

Waste, whether you can see it or not, undermines your lab's productivity—and profitability! It happens every day in every laboratory, including yours.

Is your lab plagued with waste that no one stops to fix? Does your lab have unaddressed waste and operational issues that cause your best med techs to leave for other labs? Is your workflow uneven, frequently leaving your lab staff with nothing to do-even though you're behind schedule?

If your lab is experiencing any (or all) of these problems, you could use some help reducing waste and restoring productivity to high levels.

The session is $195 through Nov 4 (not that any of the money finds its way to me, but that's OK). It includes slides that you can follow along with during the session.

You'll also hear an outstanding laboratory administrative director talk about their two years of Lean progress and sustainment of results that really impact patient care.

Maybe this is of interest to those of you in other hospital departments, or in general. It's up to you, but the content will be pretty lab-focused. If any of you attend, be sure to let me know what you think.
