Survey for an IE Grad Student

(survey now closed, thanks if you particpated... will post results later)

I received an email from a grad student in the Industrial Engineering department at Louisiana Tech University. You might recall the uproar over the "Unwritten Rules of Engineering" and the Raytheon CEO's plagiarism.

The student's professor has them reading the original book, by W.J. King, without any sort of discussion of the disgraced (and wrist-slapped) William Swanson. They are doing a straightforward reading of the 1944 book in the context of how these engineering students can be more effective out in the workplace.

The link to the survey is at the top of the page. If you're an engineer, I'd invite you to take the survey and to help a student out.

It is strange to read a book without any discussion

I meant there was no discussion of the Raytheon controversy.
