Toyota Doesn't Head to China?

globeandmail.com : Toyota heads to Simcoe

Toyota is investing $50M to build a parts plant in Ontario. This plant will supply parts to the current plant as well as the future assembly plant that Toyota is building near by.

Look at the value from locating supplier sites close to the point of final assembly. I ask this question with tongue firmly planted in cheek....

Doesn't Toyota realize that China is the place to build parts? How stupid is Toyota to not join the bandwagon rushing to build parts in China?

It CAN be done differently. Hooray for Toyota, eh?
