Does Toyota Follow Deming's 14 Points?

As part of my atonement for mis-stating W. Edwards Deming's views on inspection a few weeks back, I'll provide a link to a real Deming expert blog and a post discussing the idea of "Does Toyota subscribe to all of Deming's 14 Points?"

When I worked at GM about 10 years ago, the plant had multiple posters hanging up touting the "Quality Philosophy", which was basically Demings 14 points. Ironically enough, it was just a poster on the wall, is wasn't followed at the least. I was a weird college student, reading "Out of the Crisis" on my own basically, for fun. My dad attended a Deming 4-day seminar and always raved about him. Learning about Deming was helpful, yet it was also frustrating because even this workplace that claimed to follow Deming didn't come close to actually doing so.
