Scotland | New jobs fear for Hoover workers

It's not just the U.S…. Scotland also is facing closures/moves to China.

“‘We increasingly acknowledge that this situation is a symptom of a global manufacturing system which is dominated by low cost production in other countries.

‘Unfortunately for Hoover and its employees alike, this is not something that we have any influence over.”

Wow. That's defeatist. I know that isn't the attitude at my plant and I hope it's not at yours. We do have influence over our competitiveness, cheap labor rates in Chiina aside. Right?
